Head of school agrees to publish summary of Perth & Kinross Council complaint to the Registrar of Independent Schools
Bill Colley has agreed to summarise the P&K complaint that preceded the process by which the school was closed. He offered this possibility after being forced to turn down a Freedom of Information request in June 2018 because of problems in ensuring pupil confidentiality.
However, after discussions with the Registrar in July, there was some support for a summary to be produced because it was in the public interest.
The summary report will include a similar outline of the school’s response at the time.
The Head of School at the time of the complaint was robust in his defence of the school and in his assertion that P&K officers did not understand pupil needs or child protection procedures.
The report will be published on this website under ‘Essential Information’ and highlighted in this blog.
