Positive outcome to meetings with Moore House
Staff and parents have spoken of their optimism following meetings today with a new prospective provider for the school.
The consensus is that Moore House can provide the quality of education and care required for the pupil population displaced by the forced closure of The New School. MH representatives impressed all concerned in 3 separate meetings and provided a vision for what a new school might look like.
Current indications are that the obstacles that many expected to be placed in their way might now vanish following a strong and successful campaign by parents to challenge decisions made in November last year.
The pressure for a full independent inquiry has not, however, abated. All affected by the closure are determined to ensure that lessons are learnt so that this never happens again, and that where apologies and compensation are due, they are delivered.
