Care Inspectorate change tune

So, we contacted Alison Jamieson at the Care Inspectorate (CI) to ask why they had insisted at the Board meeting on 19th November that the school close within 5 days when there were clearly no child protection concerns.

She stated that CI had not demanded that the school close and had, “tried to persuade the Board to keep it open for at least 3 months to allow appropriate transitions for vulnerable pupils”.

This contradicts what staff and managers were told by the Board.

She also stated that there were, “no significant concerns” about safeguarding pupils, contrary to the reports in the press about, “serious child protection concerns” (which were attributed to the Care Inspectorate).

Strange! Is someone now worried that there will be an independent investigation and that their own actions will be scrutinised?

Who is lying?
