Petition reaches close to 10,000 signatures
A petition launched soon after the announcement of closure has attracted nearly 10,000 signatures with many comments bemoaning the loss to Scotland of a specialist service for pupils with autism and chronic anxiety.
4 months after the school closed, only a handful of students have found alternative placements and many parents suspect that their children have been abandoned by the authorities.
With Moore House now looking to establish a new provision on the site of the old school it may be possible for students of TNS to re-start their education and become part of a supportive community once again.
Without the support of those who have voiced their concerns over the last few months this would not have been possible.
