Follow-up from earlier blog (‘What is a judicial review’)
The claims we are making against the Care Inspectorate are not limited to the 3 key individuals (Sandra Wright, Alison Jamieson, Charlotte Wilson) who were pivotal in the forced closure of the school but the organisation as a whole.
This was not an isolated example of incompetence.
The senior managers of the inspectorate are fully aware of what happened and have made no effort to either justify their actions, to investigate what happened, or to apologise.
This is about organisational culture, systemic failings, and the absence of any discernable leadership.
An organisation charged with protecting the most vulnerable members of our society should not be finding itself in this position. Someone has failed.
